I agree, this is the worst aspect of an otherwise perfect game. I don't think battlefield encounters with Thanatos matter I think it's only the ones in the House that really affect the relationship. So my advice would be to build your relationship with Thanatos whenever you can: always have gifts on hand to use with him. I could be wrong, but I think your growing influence with Thanatos encourages his change in attitude towards Hypnos. For me, it was Dusa > Megaera > Thanatos, and for other people it was a completely different order. There seems to be no order to these relationships. If so, it would depend what state your relationships were in when this endgame phase starts. (It's also hard for me to give you a comparison in terms of the number of runs/wins, since I had collosal numbers by the time the game went to v1.0.) It's impossible to know for sure, but my suspicion is that the priority system pushes back the romantic relationships once the endgame begins, perhaps to make sure that the endgame doesn't get stretched out so far that it loses all urgency, and will not release those plots again until you're well clear of the end of the epilogue and also finish the post-epilogue relationship with Persephone. These relationships only completed quite a while after I had completed the main story and the epilogue, and I was ready to enter both of these stages when v1.0 launched because of being in the early access programme since the initial launch. Hypnos was the last of my relationships to unlock, and Thanatos took nearly as long.

I got 100% achievements now, so I guess I'll just give up on this until they fix the priority thing. He talked about the epilogue once and then we're back to "no new dialogue" situation. I finished the epilogue and did about a dozen additional runs hoping something will change. I've been loving this game, but this Hypnos thing almost changed my view since it's clearly a design flaw that needs to be fixed. It's just so frustrating now and I'm seriously considering giving up. There has been absolutely 0 progress for the last 100 runs. Grinding without any promise could be fun but for how long? Shouldn't heart unlock dialogue have some sort of priority? It's not like Thanatos shows up every run. I don't think it's related to unlocking hearts though. I haven't finished the epilogue yet cause I don't want any additional dialogues from Thanatos.Īnd I already gave Asterius' autograph to Hypnos. Hades complements Hypnos about efficiency

Dusa complements Hypnos about tombstone Here are the related dialogues I already got a long time ago.

I seriously doubt more runs can fix this. He just says that he is busy and disappears. So I figured Thanatos' backlog of dialogues could be the problem.īut 17 unrelated chats with Thanatos later, Thanatos doesn't even have any actual dialogue at this point. I searched just about every information I could and found out this is a common issue. I actually dozed off a couple of times in mid-run. The last 30+ hours of my gameplay have been me just running around hoping Thanatos shows up then letting Theseus and Asterius kill me. But here I am with 211 runs, no progress whatsoever. I completed most characters' bonds around the 110th run and since then I've been grinding for Hypnos' heart unlock. I've been grinding the last 100 runs trying to make Thanatos talk to Hypnos and it simply won't happen.
